Americans United for Separation of Church and State
presents
Chapter Training in Washington, DC

Starting at noon on Sunday, November 11th
through Tuesday November 13
at the Holiday Inn on the Hill
near Union Station

The program will include workshops on grassroots organizing and fundraising.  After two sessions of skill building workshops, we will gather together to discuss ways to build and sustain our chapters.  On Monday and Tuesday there will be lobbying training, followed by an educational program on a new Texas law regarding religious expression in public schools (well-known experts on both sides have been invited to discuss this issue), an opportunity to hear from members of the AU legal department, and a dessert reception to celebrate AU’s 60th anniversary. Those of you who can stay until Tuesday are invited to put your lobbying skills to work with Congressional visits on Capitol Hill.

The chapter training is being held in conjunction with the annual meeting of the AU Board of Trustees and National Advisory Council. If, in addition to being a chapter leader, you are a member of AU’s National Advisory Council, please note that the meeting will take place at 2:30PM on Monday.
